Foodie Retreats - Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment:

a. To secure a place on the retreat, participants must complete the registration process and make either the required £200pp deposit or full payment.

b. Full payment must be received at least 30 days prior to the retreat start date or according to the payment schedule outlined in the booking confirmation

c. Your place on the retreat is not confirmed until you receive our booking confirmation email (please wait until you’ve received this email before booking your flights)

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

a. Cancellations made 30 days or more before the start date will receive a full refund, minus the deposit as this is non refundable.

b. Cancellations made within 30 days of the start date will not be eligible for a refund.

c. The retreat organiser reserves the right to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to a future retreat, but we are not able to refund the costs of your flights - please ensure you have the correct holiday insurance in place to cover these costs.

3. Participant Responsibilities:

a. Participants must inform the retreat organiser of any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns.

b. Participants must inform the retreat organiser of any dietary requirements or allergies.

c. Participants are responsible for obtaining the necessary travel insurance, including coverage for medical emergencies and trip cancellations.

4. Health and Safety:

a. For their own safety, participants must follow the instructions of the retreat leaders and staff.

b. The retreat organisers are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or other health issues that may occur during the retreat.

5. Itinerary Changes:

a. The retreat itinerary is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond the control of the organisers.

b. The organisers will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives in such cases.

6. Travel Arrangements:

a. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including flights and transportation to and from the retreat location unless stated otherwise in the retreat information pack.

b. The retreat organisers are not responsible for any additional costs incurred due to travel delays, cancellations, or changes.

7. Code of Conduct:

a. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow participants, retreat leaders, and staff.

b. The retreat organisers reserve the right to ask participants to leave the retreat if their behavior is disruptive or poses a risk to others.

8. Photography and Media:

a. During the Foodie Retreats wellness retreat, our team may capture photographs and videos for promotional and marketing purposes. By participating in the retreat, you grant Foodie Retreats and its affiliates the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, distribute, and display any photographs, videos, or other media content featuring you, without limitation, for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use on our website, social media channels, brochures, and other promotional materials. You acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to any compensation or notification for the use of such materials.

If you do not wish to be featured in promotional materials, please notify our team in writing before the start of the retreat. Foodie Retreats will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but it cannot guarantee that all media content will be excluded.

By participating in the Foodie Retreats Wellness Retreat, you confirm that you have read and understood this provision and voluntarily grant these rights.

9. Room Representation and Variability Disclaimer:

Kindly note that the pictures showcased on our website serve as illustrative examples only, and the rooms you book may differ in configuration and furnishings. Actual accommodations are subject to availability and could undergo updates or modifications for an improved guest experience.

10. Payment for Damages:

a. In the event that any participant causes damage to property, including but not limited to accommodations, equipment, or facilities, the individual responsible will be held financially liable for the incurred damages. Payment for damages must be settled within 14 days of the conclusion of the retreat. The amount owed will be determined by the cost of repairs or replacement of the damaged property, as assessed by the retreat organizers. Failure to make timely payment may result in legal action to recover the costs incurred.

11. Greater Forces:

a. The retreat organisers are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or government restrictions.

12. Governing Law:

a. These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

b. Any legal action or proceedings related to these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the United Kingdom. By participating in the Foodie Retreats wellness retreat, all parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to proceedings in such courts on the grounds of venue or inconvenient forum.

c. By registering and booking a place at Foodie Retreats, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
